The Largest Copper Deposit Development

Timeline: 2021 — present day

Since 2021, RECLAB has participated in the Phase I construction of the enterprise at Russia's largest copper deposit. The project's value exceeds $9 billion. This large-scale initiative not only strengthens Russia’s position in the global copper market but also fosters the development of the Zabaykalsky Krai, where significant investments in industrial infrastructure construction are being made.

The project incorporates leading global practices in environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG). A key aspect is the commitment to reducing the carbon footprint and minimizing environmental impact. The project is being implemented within the "Zabaykalye" Advanced Socio-Economic Development Area (ASEDA), contributing to the creation of new jobs and improving the well-being of the region’s residents (NedraDV) (Газета.Ru).

The capacity of the first phase of the mining and metallurgical plant will reach up to 15 million tons of ore annually, with an output of 150 thousand tons of copper. The project has received support from major financial organizations, underscoring its importance and significance for the Russian economy (Газета.Ru).
