As part of a large-scale project to reconstruct the coke oven battery, the Siberian enterprise plans to significantly increase its production capacity. The project includes establishing new capacities for the manufacturing of metallurgical coke with a 6% moisture content, totaling 750,000 tons per year. The total investment volume for the reconstruction is approximately 25 billion rubles.
The company's Vice President and Head of one of its divisions noted that producing additional volumes of coke will positively impact the cost of pig iron. Beyond the main reconstruction, the project also provides for the modernization of associated infrastructural facilities. Specifically, the chemical product recovery shop, the coke quenching and screening areas, and the energy management equipment will all be updated.
It is planned that the enterprise will obtain the first coke from the new battery in 2024, with all work expected to be completed in 2025. Thanks to this project, one of the largest steel production enterprises in Siberia will be able to significantly enhance its productivity and strengthen its market position.
This project represents an important step in the development of the metallurgical industry, demonstrating a commitment to modernization and increasing the efficiency of production processes.
